*And unless you want a beer right now, that's my Greek at it's limit. I only learned what I needed to know...
When I first had a peek on the Leaves of the World website, I noticed the Greek Mythology blend, and although I have tried it before I was very excited to see it in my most recent rep box! I have spent many a summer in Greece, trailing the Greek Islands so I was surprised to find I had never heard of Greek Mountain Tea!

I've been researching Greek Mountain Tea the last few days and turns out it is actually packed with tonnes of health benefits, that I didn't know about. It is derived from the leaf known as 'Sideritis'. It can help with your digestive health and boasts many antioxidant properties too. There are a few studies to suggest that Greek Mountain Tea can protect your digestive system making it a great addition to your diet especially if you suffer from Intolerance's or IBS like me. You should brew this tea with lemon or honey for the perfect traditional flavour.
*Greek Mythology has actually really helped my IBS and has calmed down my stomach symptoms massively. But please don't take my advice, I'm not a doctor! But give it a try for yourself. It has also really helped my chronic migraines as peppermint can be a great herb to relieve stress and anxieties that come with pressure of headaches.

I was really surprised when I first saw the tea as it does have a type of... fluffy texture to it. In a way that it does collect together a little bit like squishy clumps, if it looks like this I promise that it's ok! The tea had a slightly earthy but sweet undertones which comes from the Greek Mountain Tea. It's a very fresh and clean flavour and mellows perfectly with the peppermint and fennel. Greek Mythology has a more herbal flavour to it, albeit refreshing. The Peppermint and fennel are great palate cleansers after a meal, and a perfect tummy tonic if you overindulge.
This brews to a similar colour to green tea, very clear with a strong peppermint scent to it.
